First Zoo 4.1

Today was Maci's first zoo experience. We were in Minneapolis visiting family and there is a zoo open year round. It was still a little chilly outside so not all the animals could be seen. We saw sea lions, penguins, gorillas, monkeys, lions, mountain lions, tigers, polar bears, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, reindeer, and a sloth. Sloths sleep 20 of the 24 hours in a day. Wow! Now I understand the full meaning of the word. Maci loved to watch the sea lions swim back and forth in the water. And when we were watching the little monkeys, one came up right to her and put its hand on the glass. So cute! Can't wait till next time!

Wagon ride 4.11

For Christmas Maci got a Radio Flyer wagon. We have been very anxious to take her out in it but of course, this is Montana. Spring may come, or the weather may go straight to Summer or just stay snowy till June. Luckily, we got a week's worth of 60 degree weather and finally took advantage of it. It still was a bit chilly so she got to wear a knitted jacket that someone made her. She can't sit up all by herself yet, so I thought that if we put her in the bumbo and the bumbo in the wagon, it would work out perfect. And it did. She loved every minute of our walk. She, of course, had to know what was going on all around. Watching a dog, looking at the houses, looking at the ground, anything and everything caught her eye. It was all new to her because she has been stuck in the house. Can't wait till the next bout of warm weather hits.
